Rube Goldberg Machine | Systems Thinking & Mechanical Engineering
In this session, we learned about Rube Goldberg, an American cartoonist who depicted machines that perform a simple task in complex ways. In order to create our own Rube Goldberg machine, we learned how to apply physics concepts and the engineering design process to develop a prototype. The design process consists of 1) designing, 2) building, and 3) testing. The design process is iterative, meaning that we repeat the steps as many times as needed to make improvements and learn from failures.
