Introduction
The STEM Scholars Summer Internship is a paid enrichment experience that supports high school students in building college readiness, workforce skills, and real-world confidence. Designed for students who have demonstrated strong engagement in the STEM Scholars After-School Program, the internship offers a deeper, more immersive experience focused on personal, academic, and professional growth.
Interns participate in hands-on workshops covering college planning, financial literacy, resume and interview preparation, time management, and goal setting, while being mentored by the STEM Scholars staff, many of whom are first-generation college students themselves.
Through mentorship, applied learning, and real-world problem solving, the STEM Scholars Summer Internship empowers students to explore future pathways, strengthen leadership skills, and gain the confidence needed to succeed in college and beyond.
